John Marcarian

A specialist in global private client tax and international business expansion, John is a sought after speaker on tax and business matters and regularly presents to business groups around the world.

In 1992 John established CST Tax Advisors and since then has developed extensive experience dealing with global expatriates and business entrepreneurs

In 2004 John established the Singapore Office of CST Tax Advisors. From his base in Singapore John is regularly sought out by leading global private banks for his strategic tax strategies and responsive approach to client matters.

John won the Price Waterhouse Prize for Tax Law at Macquarie University. He has presented tax seminars for the Standard Chartered Private Bank, Singapore, ANZ Bank, Singapore & Hong Kong, AustCham Singapore and AustCham Hong Kong, and numerous professional bodies in the United States and the United Kingdom including Australian American Association and Advance and Australian Business.

In 2007 John was awarded the degree of Master of International Taxation at the Australian School of Taxation (ATAX). John won the John Raneri Memorial Prize for the best performance by a graduating student in the Master of International Taxation Program.

John has had a number of articles published in the Tax Specialist, a publication of the Tax Institute of Australia;Charter, a publication of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia; and the Tax Yearbook, a publication of the International Tax Planning Association.

Most recently John has published two books ‘Expatland‘ which is aimed at assisting potential global expats plan their move and ‘The CST Way‘ a professional services for Global Accounting Firms.

John is a Member of the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries in Singapore and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the International Tax Planning Association.
